Do I have to be a member to buy on MonkeeBooks?

No. You can check out as a guest. However we do encourage you to join. MonkeeBooks believes in homeschoolers helping homeschoolers. Because of this we will always be looking for ways to bring value to our sellers and to the resources available to you. Low prices, VIP pricing, rewards, etc… all these things are put into place to help the homeschool community.

How Does MonkeeBooks fees compare to Amazon, Ebay or others?

Our pricing is lower!

Pricing: We have similar but lower pricing than Ebay or Amazon. We offer more insertions for a lower percentage. There are also no other additional or hidden costs such as text formatting and extra images or percentage increases over a certain amount, etc… both of these platforms have variable fees, we don’t. If you need more insertions – you can easily swap to the next level or just as easily swap back down again.

How Does MonkeeBooks differ from Amazon, Ebay or others?

MonkeeBooks focuses on homeschool and homeschool resources only. As homeschoolers, we know what is important to our community. Our knowledge and first-hand experience helps us make decisions based on quality before quantity. This experience also allows us to concentrate on keeping relevant stock through other homeschool sellers. As we grow – so does this relevancy. As the other businesses grow – specific niches get lost in the shuffle.

What if I don't have a way to Accept Credit Cards?

No problem. We do.

What this means is that when you sell on MonkeeBooks, we already have credit card processing through Stripe and PayPal. Through these we can accept any type of major credit card.

What if I don't know how to set up a store? Or need help?

We have video tutorials to help you with this.

Setting up a store in MonkeeBooks is easy because the store is already set up for you. All you need to do is enter your inventory, set your prices and shipping and finally set up how you get paid. There’s video instruction every step of the way.

Is Media Mail your only shipping option?


For sellers, by default, we have enabled Media Mail in the checkout process. This is configured by the weight of your item. So if you don’t want to mess with shipping costs – we’ve already taken that step for you. All you have to remember is to use Media Mail when you actually ship.  🙂

Additionally, we have provided classes for you so you can assign your own pricing if you like in addition to the Media Mail price. They are as follows:

  • Local pickup – allow local people to pick up your products locally at no cost or a custom cost.
  • Next Day – configure expedited shipping for overnight.
  • Two Day – configure shipping for 2 day delivery.
  • Three Day – configure shipping for 3 day delivery.

You can mix and match. You can just use Local pickup and Two Day if you like, etc… You’ll learn more about this in our tutorials on setting up your shop after you become a seller.
